Collection of personal data

When using the website for informational purposes only, i.e. if you do not register to use the website or otherwise provide us with information, we do not collect any personal data, with the exception of the data that your browser transmits to enable you to visit the website (namely IP address, browser, amount of data transferred, etc.).

Processing purposes and legal basis

We process personal data in connection with the provision of our services to you and, where applicable, for communication with you (e.g. via the contact form). The processing of your data is necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests.

If you have given us your consent to process your personal data for specific purposes, we will process your personal data within the scope of and based on this consent, unless we have another legal basis and do not require such consent. Consent that has been given can be revoked at any time, but this has no effect on data processing that has already taken place.

Data origin
We only collect personal data that you provide to us when communicating with us (such as your name, email and postal address, and telephone number).

Recipients
Within the scope of our business activities and purposes, we may also disclose personal data to third parties, where permitted. This applies in particular to the following data recipients:
Third parties in the context of fulfilling legal or contractual obligations.

Some of these recipients are located in Switzerland, but may also be located abroad. In particular, you must expect your data to be transferred to all countries where the service providers we use are located. If we transfer data to a country without adequate legal data protection, we ensure an adequate level of protection as required by law through the use of appropriate contracts or rely on the legal exceptions of consent, contract execution, determination, exercise or enforcement of legal claims, overriding public interests, published personal data or because it is necessary to protect the integrity of the persons concerned.

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on this website, we require your email address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

You can revoke your consent to the storage of data, your email address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the ‘unsubscribe link’ in the newsletter.

Google Analytics

We use the services of Google Analytics, a web analytics service, on our website. Web analytics involves the collection, gathering and evaluation of data about the behaviour of visitors to websites. Among other things, a web analytics service collects data about which website a data subject came to a website from, which subpages of the website were accessed, how often and for how long a subpage was viewed. Web analytics is mainly used to optimise a website.

The operating company of Google Analytics is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.

The data subject has the option of objecting to and preventing the collection of data generated by Google Analytics relating to the use of this website and the processing of this data by Google. To do this, the data subject must download and install a browser add-on from the link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This browser add-on informs Google Analytics via JavaScript that no data and information relating to visits to websites may be transmitted to Google Analytics. The installation of the browser add-on is considered by Google to be an objection.

Further information and Google's applicable data protection provisions can be found at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy and at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html. Google Analytics is explained in more detail at this link: https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/analytics.

Social media plugins

We also use plugins from social networks such as Facebook (Meta), Instagram and YouTube (Google) on our website. These are typically indicated by corresponding icons at the bottom of the website. We have configured these plugins so that they are disabled by default. If you activate them (by clicking on them), the operators of the respective social networks can register that you are on our website and where, and can use this information for their own purposes. The processing of your personal data is then carried out under the responsibility of this operator in accordance with their data protection regulations.

Duration of data storage

Unless otherwise specified, we store usage data or other personal data for as long as we deem necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable laws or for as long as we deem necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. We delete your data as soon as it is no longer required and in any case after the expiry of the maximum retention period prescribed by law.

Data security

We maintain up-to-date technical measures to ensure data security, in particular to protect your personal data from risks during data transmission and from access by third parties. These measures are adapted in line with the current state of the art.

Rights of the data subject

You have the following rights if the relevant legal requirements are met:

  • the right to request information about your personal data stored by us;

  • the right to have incorrect or incomplete personal data corrected;

  • the right to request the deletion or anonymisation of your personal data;

  • the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data;

  • the right to receive certain personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format;

  • the right to withdraw consent with effect for the future, insofar as processing is based on consent.

Please note that we reserve the right to assert the restrictions provided for by law, for example if we are obliged to store or process certain data, have an overriding interest in doing so (insofar as we are permitted to invoke this) or need it to assert claims.

The exercise of such rights usually requires you to clearly prove your identity (e.g. by providing a copy of your ID). To assert your rights, you can contact us at the above address.

Every data subject also has the right to enforce their claims in court or to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority. The competent data protection authority in Switzerland is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (http://www.edoeb.admin.ch).

Changes to the privacy policy

We may amend this privacy policy at any time without prior notice. The current version published on our website applies.
